Integrevise for the University of Central Florida

Keep human explanation visible in an AI-fluent university.

UCF’s General Education Program develops successful writers and speakers, while AI for All keeps human agency at the center of responsible use. Integrevise adds a short, adaptive discussion after submission, giving faculty reviewable evidence of what each student can explain and justify while existing assessment and academic judgment remain in place.

One practical evidence layer

Support authentic assessment without adding a live viva to every submission.

Integrevise works from materials teaching teams already use. It creates a structured opportunity for explanation while academic judgment remains with the university.

For UCF

Make communication evidence easier to see.

Connect statewide communication expectations with course-level evidence of student explanation while UCF’s assessment policy and academic judgment remain in place.

For faculty

Keep the brief, rubric and judgment.

Use the existing brief, rubric and submission to prompt a short adaptive discussion, then review the evidence without scheduling a live viva for every student.

For students

Explain choices and receive useful feedback.

Give students a clear opportunity to explain decisions, connect ideas and receive personalized feedback grounded in their own work.

Early evidence, clearly bounded

A practical approach with preliminary university evidence.

A published, multi-cycle study at one private US liberal-arts college offers preliminary qualitative evidence that post-submission oral verification can surface comprehension gaps and implementation issues. It does not establish broad efficacy or scalability.

Communication and responsible AI at UCF

UCF sets the expectation. Integrevise makes student explanation easier to review.

Florida’s general-education standard says communication courses must afford students the ability to write clearly and engage in public speaking. UCF’s General Education Program aims to develop successful writers, speakers and producers of digital materials. This is not a requirement for oral examinations, vivas or a separate public-speaking course.

Integrevise adds a reviewable record of how a student explains choices, reasoning and understanding after submitting work. It complements UCF’s existing assessment, faculty judgment and integrity procedures; it does not turn the public-speaking standard into an oral-exam mandate.

These official sources establish context; they do not imply that the university has endorsed Integrevise.
